The pharmaceutical industry supports: Pharma, Industrial Affairs, Vaccines, R&D and Consumer business, Innovative products, Animal health care and also standardizes the business processes across business to help the company to achieve operational efficiency and back-office productivity.

Now the platform supports 17 countries and 11 industrial sites.



The ACI Project involves the implementation, maintenance and support of a regional system that caters for corporate requirements, as well as local requirements within our region. The ACI (Asia Common Implementation) a project team comprised of company staff and consultants.



SAP is the key business application system used by this client. It supports the day-to-day business operations in 17 countries in Asia Pacific region. In addition to the Pharmaceutical Operations, the platform also supports the Vaccine business in several countries, Industrial affairs activities in five countries (eight manufacturing sites), consumer business in Australia and a joint venture site in South Korea. SAP platform is managed by Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) department based in Asia Pacific Regional IS in Singapore.

The SAP system is built around the core SAP modules of Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP). Quality Management (QM) and Warehouse Management (WM) modules are also deployed in limited functional or country scope. The current version is SAP ECC6 with Enhancement Package 5.


With SAP, the scope of coverage was extended to 64 legal entities and eight manufacturing sites in the region. The latest addition to the platform is China. The system is made available on a 24×7 basis with very limited downtime for planned maintenance and administration activities. The SAP platform supports around 2000 users and is interfaced with all major group applications for business consolidation, supply chain planning, global product management and human resource, etc. Some of the key interfaces are HFM, Marco, Magnitude, GMID, Manugistics, M2, IHRIS, various reporting applications, bank interfaces and a number of third party applications in warehousing and distribution areas. The main data center and support team are based in Singapore.


Service Level Agreement (SLA) between the EBS-ERP department, which is managing and SAP application and responsible for delivering these services, and the users concerned by these services. Rollouts have included not only country implementations, but also developments and extensions of the SAP system itself.
